The advantage of long-haul flights is that they give you plenty of time to reflect.

n one such flight, I got thinking about the last 15 years I have spent implementing global learning management systems (LMS).

I have been part of over 80 LMS implementations and all of them have been successful as implementations go. But there has been some turbulence. Like most projects, there have been pain points.

And because every customer has different needs and a different approach, no two projects are ever the same. This e-book covers some key areas I have seen that were critical to the success of those implementations.

As organisations move through detailed, and lengthy selection and procurement cycles, many of the aspects mentioned in this e-book may seem obvious, yet they are often overlooked.

Any SaaS system with multiple releases over the year means that new features are constantly becoming available. A robust change control process and a governance model must be in put in place. Poor change control processes end up with incorrect processes being rolled out to end users.

That results in a poor user experience and a spike in support calls. It can often also lead to poor adoption of a new feature which otherwise would have been great innovation.
