TalenTeam Supporting Local Schools Through the Covid-19 Crisis

web banner image

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, TalenTeam has stepped up to support the local community by sponsoring and enabling a few local primary schools to take their teaching online. We are providing schools with training, technical support, and enablement with online technologies. We are proud to be able to make online learning more accessible to children and schools.

COVID-19 has impacted us in many ways and more significantly, our everyday work life and education. The ones who are impacted in a big way but not addressed enough are our primary school students. With the unplanned closure of schools across the country, there are thousands of teachers, administrators, and students with only one option of shifting to online Learning. This is all very new and definitely a first at such a big scale. With a lack of playtime and peer-to-peer interactions, learning from home is surely a big challenge for parents and a world of change for our young minds.

TalenTeam is supporting local schools by enabling them to have access to conferencing tools. This helps teachers to establish a constant connection with the children. ‘’We have now been able to provide story-time sessions, assemblies, team meetings, and specific teaching sessions - it has become a vital tool for keeping our community connected in unprecedented times’’, said Jim Dees, Headteacher at West Lodge Primary School. Familiarisation with new ways and processes can be overwhelming. Therefore, TalenTeam is also providing technical support and relevant training for using these technologies. This has helped to boost the confidence of users and has ensured safe and secure use for everyone.

TalenTeam has created opportunities for collaborative and effective learning experiences by providing assistance to those in need of these new age technologies. ‘’It is fantastic to hear the feedback from the schools and to see the smile on children’s faces when they see their classmates and teachers’’, said TalenTeam’s Managing Director, Sandeep Nahata. ‘’We believe that through this, we are able to support not only schools but the children who are the human capital of the future.’’’

Hear what they have to say

TalenTeam have provided invaluable support to West Lodge Primary School during the COVID crisis. When schools closed on 20th March - we had put a lot of online learning in place, but we didn't have a vehicle for direct contact with the children via video link. Within days TalenTeam had set up a Zoom account for each class teacher and for members of the leadership team and provided training for staff. We have now been able to provide story-time sessions, assemblies, team meetings, and specific teaching sessions - it has become a vital tool for keeping our community connected in unprecedented times. We explored a variety of aspects of the Zoom settings and working with TalenTeam we have been able to create a strong policy document which we have shared with staff and parents to help ensure safe and secure use. The ongoing support and advice has been incredible - we are eternally grateful!”

I would like to say a huge thank you to Talenteam who have provided us with excellent support during this period of school closure. At a time of great uncertainty, we were very grateful for a calm approach and some very helpful support and advice. Within no time at all, Talenteam had helped to set up Premium Zoom accounts for each of our teachers along with step by step instructions. As a result, teachers have been able to keep in touch with children and families which has been very much appreciated. We are extremely grateful for everything that TalenTeam have done for us.
